A: This largely depends on the on the codec (analog digital converter used to process voip calls) , selection of our premium voice routes, your internet service provider or internet connection and latency times from your location to our voip softswitch. Target Marketing Ideas for Reselling Voip (Genesis Tech Plans at http://www.genesistech.biz):
I. International Callers:
One of the best demographics for voip phone service is people who call
overseas regularly. This can be people who are originally from another
country, or who have relatives who have moved overseas.
A. Choose a country or a small list of countries that are in the list of
“International Hotspots”, which allows for 200 free minutes each
month included
1. You can choose nations based on knowing that there is a
large number of people from that nation living in your area
in the US and Canada
2. You could choose nations where you know a large number
of people from your area call for another reason (students
studying overseas, businesspeople that travel overseas to
a particular nation regularly, etc.)
3. You can choose nations in the international hotspot list that
you notice have the most competitive rates for the
additional, over 200 minutes. Then you find out how to
reach people who call that nation.
B. You can market to people who call any nation in the world, even
those not on any of our calling lists, as long as the place they are
calling has broadband internet available.
For example: Let’s say Juan (who lives in California) calls
his sister Maria in Acapulco, Mexico frequently. Maria has
broadband internet access. Juan can get Genesis Voip for
both himself and Maria. Once Maria hooks up her adapter to
the high speed internet, she will have phone service, and
she can choose any of our “local” numbers that we have
available for US and Canada. Then she can call Juan, and
he can call her, unlimited (in-network calls).
II. People (or small businesses) who make a lot of long distance calls
within US and Canada
A. People with family members spread out geographically
B. Parents of college students (they can get Genesis Voip for their
students, as most college dorms have high speed internet
access.)
C. Small businesses who do a lot of business out of town
D. Small businesses who want an economical toll-free phone
number
III. Individuals and small businesses who like to be up with the latest
technology
A. With Genesis Voip, customers have all the phone features they
want, without paying any extra for them. We offer great voicemail,
which even sends them an email with the message attached so
they can listen to it. Not to mention caller ID, call waiting,
conference calling, etc., which all costs quite a bit extra with the
traditional phone company.
B. Because voip uses an existing broadband internet line, most
customers are already regular internet users. If you target people
who are already paying for high speed internet, you’ll find a great
target market, because for them it is not additional expense…they
will be saving money right away. They even pay less taxes than
with traditional phone lines.
IV. People who travel frequently
Travelers like the fact that if they take the voip adapter with them, and
their phone service follows them. Once they plug it into high speed
internet access at their hotel (or other destination), they can make and
receive calls, just as if they had plugged it into their high speed internet
access at home.
V. People who have small businesses that they run out of their home
With the professional voicemail features, including the follow-me feature
that can ring other numbers such as their cell phone if they don’t answer
the main line, as well as the unlimited US & Canada calling, and low tollfree
number rates, Genesis Voip is an excellent option for those with a
small or home office.
So, you’ve heard about VoIP (Voice-over IP), and you want to make money selling this great new internet phone service?
It’s no secret that the market for VoIP is expected to increase quickly in the near future, and that it will be important to be involved in the beginning in order to capture the market. There are a lot of options out there for anyone who wants to sell VoIP.
Sorting Out VOIP Reselling Options:
1. Think Huge: One option is to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in your own VoIP server platform. That requires not just a lot of money, but also a staff of tech experts who can get it running and keep it running, not to mention the constant need for hardware and software updates to stay current and one step ahead of the hackers. This option is not for the faint of heart, and it goes without saying that it could be years before you actually make any money (one needs only to look at the sad tale of Vonage to see that.) Considering the small number of “techies” out there who have actual experience with VoIP, and the fact that you could invest a lot in their training only to have them move on to a larger company once you’ve provided the training that improved their resume, it’s not an easy route to take.
2. Think Big: Another option is to buy VoIP services from one of the major telephone companies and/or a major internet service provider. The advantage is that you get some good rates this way usually, but they always require a major cash investment, as well as an agreement that you’ll bring them several thousand customers right away. Like the first option, you’ll need a top-notch tech team to even think of going this route. Also, don’t expect much in the way of customer service from the big boys. If something goes wrong, it’s your problem, not theirs.
3. Think Not-As-Big: There are other options for the smaller-scale reseller. However, most companies who provide VoIP service for resellers will not private-brand the service. In other words, you sell their brand of VoIP. In some cases, they even bill the customer directly, so that you only receive a commission, either one-time or recurring. Other times, you might maintain contact with the customer (and the ability to sell them other services every time you contact them), but the customer is always able to see the brand name, and can go direct to the supplier for cheaper rates at any time. Also, if your VoIP reselling provider gets sold to a larger company, as it so often happens when markets mature, you lose your customers to that larger company, and say goodbye to your commissions.
4. Think Smart: So, by now you can see that what once looked like a wide-open frontier of opportunity really has its limitations. Fortunately, that’s where Worldkom.net comes in. We believe that your customer should stay just that…your customer. That’s why we offer private branding of our VoIP services, so that your customer only knows you. We take care of all the technical stuff on the back-end, so that you can focus on selling the services. Of course, a little technology knowledge is still helpful in understanding how everything works and what options are available, but we can help you learn what you need to know.
Not only that, but Worldkom.net can also help you with marketing your new VoIP business. Our parent company, Globalink Inc., specializes in building and marketing websites, so that you can have an effective online presence for your new business.
Worldkom.Net strives to make VoIP easier to deploy by providing a hosted VoIP platform that can be managed by our techs for you.
We provide plenty of training and you can always contact your Customer Account Manager (CAM). For an example, your CAM may be Chris Chelvan, Tech Sales Engineer, based in the Midwest USA or it may be some one else based out of our Malaysia Office.
The role of the CAM is to make technical issues easier to understand and be the human interface between Globalink-Worldkom and Support. Our support system is extensive but since it is ticket based, a personal phone call, chat or web meeting will help you become a successful Private Label VoIP Reseller.
